Circa 1927 Hermann Weissenborn Style One
This circa-1927 H. Weissenborn guitar surely has more than a few stories to tell. This guitar is in superb structural condition and has an incredibly inviting, nuanced tone, every bit as warm and inviting as to be expected on an original Weissenborn.
Bridge and bone nut are original. A previous owner has replaced the original fretwire saddle with an oversized steel bar in an effort to increase string height. Signs of finish wear as expected on an 80 year old guitar. The back and sides show evidence of previous restoration work. All seams and glue joins are stable and all braces are original and intact.
The guitar will be shipped with a steel nut extension (not pictured) which will allow for a higher string height for most tunings without modifying the original bone nut.
